Holiday Shipping Information: 

We encourage everyone ordering from Northern Drink Cart this winter season to do so as early as possible. With the current Canada Post challenges and increased shipping demands, here are our recommendations. We cannot make any guarantees, but if you are hoping for your purchases to arrive before December 25th, we recommend placing your orders no later than... 

December 15, 2025 for orders shipping within Ontario 

December 8, 2025 for orders shipping elsewhere in Canada 

From December 25, 2025 to January 1, 2026, the Northern Drink Cart team will be taking some time to recuperate from the busy holiday season and to be ready for the new year to come. Feel free to place orders during this time, but please be advised that those orders will not be processed or fulfilled until January 2, 2026. If you have an urgent request, please get in touch with us via email to see if we can accommodate you. 


Ordering & Payment 

What payment methods do you accept? 
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Interac. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD), and applicable taxes are added at checkout.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it? 
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, email us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help. Once your order has been dispatched, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible. 


Shipping & Delivery 

Where do you ship from? 
All orders ship from Ottawa, Ontario. We are a Canadian business operating out of Ottawa with a team across the country.

Do you ship across Canada? 
Yes — we currently ship anywhere in Canada.

Do you ship internationally? 
No — we currently ship only in Canada.

How much is shipping? 
We offer free shipping on orders of $150 or more (before tax). For orders under that amount, shipping is calculated at checkout based on location. We also offer local pickup for those in the Ottawa area (more info on this in the next section). For more information on our shipping policies, please click here

How does local pickup work? 
We offer free pickup for those in the Ottawa area. Once your order is processed and packaged, you will receive an email to set up a time for pickup. Upon arrival at the front of 317-1228 Old Innes Rd, please let us know your order number and we will retrieve your order.
 
Pickup is available only during these times: 
Monday - Friday 
1:00 – 4:00 PM

How long will my order take to arrive? 
Orders are typically processed within 4-7 business days and then shipped; delivery times vary by location. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships.

My order is urgent, what can you do? 
For urgent orders, please email northerndrinkcart@gmail.com with your order number and “Urgent Order” in the subject line. We’ll do our best to prioritize and ship as quickly as possible. Express shipping may be available at an additional cost. 


Returns & Refunds 

What is your return policy? 
Due to the nature of our products (food/beverage-related items), we cannot accept returns on opened items for change-of-mind. However, if you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll make it right. Please click here to review our full return policy.

Who pays for return shipping? 
If the return is due to our error (wrong or damaged item), we cover the cost of return shipping or replacement. 


Product Information 

What does the “Best Before” date mean? 
A Best Before date relates to product quality, not safety. It indicates how long a product retains its best flavour, texture, and nutritional value when stored properly. After this date, the product may still be safe, but quality may decline. Always follow the storage instructions on the packaging. Our clearance section is stocked with products that have a shorter best before date than our regular priced products.

How should I store your products? 
Most of our syrups, sauces, milk-alternatives, teas and drink powders should be stored in a cool, dry place before opening. After opening, please refer to the product label (e.g., “refrigerate after opening”) and consume within the recommended timeframe.

Are your products vegan, gluten-free? Do you offer allergy information? 
Many of the brands we carry are plant-based, dairy-free, or gluten-free. We do our very best to provide accurate information on every item, but over time information and packaging may change or be updated, and there may be a delay before appearing here. If you have specific concerns (like allergies), please contact us and check the ingredient and allergen listings on each product page for full details.

Do you carry bulk or full-case options? 
Yes — we supply cafés, bars and restaurants across Canada. If you’re interested in bulk orders for a business, please contact us.

What is a PET bottle? 
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a type of polyester that’s BPA-free, strong, hygienic, and safe for food and beverages. It offers the same safety benefits as glass but is lightweight, shatter-resistant, and easy to transport. PET is also recyclable and sustainable, as it can be reused many times—so please remember to recycle your PET and glass bottles. 

1883 Syrups are available in both PET and glass bottles, with some flavours offered exclusively in glass.

Yes — sign up for our newsletter to receive 10% off your first order, and stay updated on new product arrivals and promotions.

Do you sell gift cards? 
Yes — digital gift cards are available and they make a great gift for coffee or cocktail lovers. Gift cards are emailed instantly and can be redeemed at checkout.
